After 20 years of doing it on our own, we were somewhat uncomfortable with the idea of having someone else - somebody we didn’t know -  from across the country -  guide us in managing our business.  We knew we needed to make some changes in the way we made decisions if our company was going to reach its potential and be as successful and profitable as we knew it could be – we just weren’t sure that Management One ® and Focus Retail were the answer.

Upon meeting Gord, we found him to be very personable.  He spoke with us as a partner rather than as a client.  After listening to his proposal and ideas, it was clear that teaming up with Focus Retail was what we needed to do if we were to reach our goals.

We have been working with Gord for almost 5 years now. During this time we’ve gained insight and knowledge into our business, and made only positive changes.  We’ve also come to realize that what we thought wouldn’t work for “us”, actually does.

Working with Focus Retail allows us to take a step back and look at our business in a new, innovative, and cost effective way.  Our monthly meetings give us a chance to regroup, providing us with perspective and leaving us motivated to take action.  By analyzing our sales and purchases, we are now able to identify those areas of our inventory that are really working for us!  Most significantly, by focusing on our Open to Buy, our inventory has never been better!  We’ve moved out almost ALL our old inventory, and are now able to maintain the right amount of current stock to drive profitable sales!

We have definitely found that working with Management One ® and Focus Retail has allowed us to see the big picture much more clearly – it has proven to be a supportive, working solution which we would recommend to any Retailer.
